Dear Readers, Special Issues are a tradition of SNE. We started in 2006 with special issues, topics are parallel and distributed simulation, structural-dynamic systems, System Dynamics, control, quality aspects, health care technology, education, etc. And in 2017 we started special issues with postconference publications, some general – as with EUROSIM congress and MATHMOD conference, and some specific – as with the special issues on ASIM’s conferences on Modelling and Simulation in Production and Logistics. We are glad to present with SNE 36(3) the fifth special issue of this type – from ASIM SPL 2025, Dresden.
Many thanks to the authors and to the special issue editors, and many thanks to the SNE Editorial Office for layout, electronic publishing, and much more. And have a look at the info on forthcoming conferences, as joint EUROSIM 2026 and I3M 2026 in Genova, SIMS 2026 in Ekilstuna, WSC 2026 in Glasgow, ASIM SPL 2027 in Kassel, WSC 2027 in San Diego, and planned joint EUROSIM 2028 and MATHMOD 2028 in Vienna - joint simulation conferences turn out to be future-proof strategy.
